Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekneftegaz Chairman Abdulgani Sanginov has instructed the company to develop a set of measures aimed at reducing the decline in natural gas production at fields operated by the Mubarek Oil and Gas Production Department.

The directive was issued during a meeting on the company's production and investment priorities.

The meeting reviewed the results of Uzbekneftegaz's presentation to the President of Uzbekistan on its performance in the first half of 2026 and outlined key objectives for the remainder of the year.

According to the company, the president instructed Uzbekneftegaz to ensure thorough preparations for the autumn and winter season and maintain stable supplies of natural gas and petroleum products to households, social facilities and the economy.

In response, the company said it would focus on strengthening its hydrocarbon resource base, maintaining and increasing natural gas production, preventing output declines at existing fields, accelerating geological exploration and improving the effectiveness of geological and technical measures.

By the end of September, Uzbekneftegaz plans to fully commission small compressor stations at the Shimoliy Berdak and Sharqiy Berdak fields after completing all related infrastructure works.

The meeting also set tasks to introduce digital technologies and innovative solutions, improve geological data analysis, enhance management efficiency, and prepare material and technical resource requirements for geological and technical operations planned for 2027.

The relevant divisions were instructed to prepare proposals to increase production of aviation kerosene and diesel fuel, while ensuring uninterrupted diesel supplies to farms during the cotton harvest.

Following the meeting, the company's management instructed responsible units to meet production targets, bring new wells into operation on schedule, complete infrastructure projects within the established deadlines, and strengthen implementation discipline.
