Uzbekistan U-16 Lose to Türkiye at UEFA Development Cup Start

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Uzbekistan U-16 national football team began its campaign at the UEFA Development Cup, taking place in North Macedonia, with a defeat.

In their opening match, the Uzbek side lost 0–4 to Türkiye. The course of the game was significantly affected after Uzbekistan defender Almaz Ayupov was sent off in the 14th minute.

The Uzbekistan U-16 team, coached by Aider Kurbaev, will continue its participation in the tournament in the upcoming rounds. On 17 April, the team will face hosts North Macedonia, followed by a match against Northern Ireland on 20 April.
