Uzbekistan TV Delegation Visits Reuters and BBC in London

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A delegation from the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan paid a working visit to London, where it held meetings with representatives of leading British media organizations, Dunyo Information Agency reported.

The purpose of the visit was to expand cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom in the media sector, study the operational experience of British media, and discuss prospects for implementing joint projects.

With the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the United Kingdom, visits were organized for delegation members to the headquarters of the Reuters news agency and the BBC media corporation.

During the meetings, representatives of the National Television and Radio Company learned about the organization of work at leading global media outlets, their editorial policy, management structure, and the operations of their international correspondent networks for news collection and dissemination.

As part of the visit, the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan and BBC Media Action signed a memorandum of understanding providing for the development of bilateral cooperation.

In addition, the delegation visited the 24-hour BBC news studio and fact-checking unit, and learned about television program production processes and modern broadcasting equipment.

According to Dunyo Information Agency, the meetings aim to further develop cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom in the media sphere, introduce international experience into the national media sector, and strengthen partnership ties.
