Rescuers Evacuate Tourist Injured in Fall on Kamchik Pass

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Rescuers on the Kamchik Pass have evacuated a tourist who sustained injuries after falling down a mountain slope. The victim was handed over to an emergency medical team.

According to emergency services, a report of the incident near the Tien Shan cafe was received at the Kamchik Pass rescue post at around 12:10 p.m. on 4 August 2026. During a mountain ascent, one of three tourists slipped down a slope and was injured.

Arriving at the scene, rescue personnel used climbing equipment to evacuate the injured tourist to a safe location before handing him over to medical staff.

Rescuers urged citizens to observe safety precautions during walks in mountainous areas, avoid hazardous slopes, and refrain from exposing their lives to unjustified risk.
