Passenger Injured in Bus Collision in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — One passenger was injured in Tashkent following a collision between two Yutong buses on the morning of 2 August 2026. Public transport operator Toshshahartransxizmat provided details regarding the circumstances of the traffic accident.
According to the carrier, the incident occurred around 08:10 a.m. on Amir Temur Avenue in the Yunusabad district. A natural gas-powered Yutong bus operating route No. 17 collided due to driver negligence with the rear of a Yutong electric bus operating route No. 85, which was parked at the Yulduz bus stop.
As a result of the accident, one passenger aboard the gas-powered bus sustained injuries. The injured individual was transported by ambulance to the dental clinic of Tashkent State Medical University. After receiving medical treatment, the passenger was discharged home.
Both buses suffered technical damage. The company stated that repair work is currently underway to return the vehicles to service.
Materials regarding the incident have been officially registered by officers of the Traffic Safety Department of the Tashkent City Main Police Department in accordance with established procedures.
