Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan will strengthen phytosanitary inspections of vehicles transporting export cargo following 683 complaints from foreign countries in 2026 over Uzbek products failing to meet phytosanitary requirements, the Agency for Quarantine and Plant Protection of Uzbekistan reported.

Russia submitted the largest number of complaints, with 474. China accounted for 198 complaints and Kazakhstan for eight.

Most complaints were related to the detection of harmful organisms in products. Particular attention will therefore be paid to the phytosanitary condition of cargo compartments in vehicles used to transport export goods.

Exporters and carriers have been urged to comply strictly with phytosanitary rules. The measures are intended to prevent delays to export shipments, product returns and the imposition of additional restrictions by foreign countries.
