Uzbekistan to observe Day of Kurash on 6 September

Uzbekistan announced 6 Sepetember as the Day of national sport “Kurash”.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On measures for further development of the national sport “Kurash” on 2 September.
The document said that 6 September is was declared in Uzbekistan as the Day of national sport “Kurash”.
It should be recalled that International Kurash Association (IAC) was established on 6 September 1998. Currently, it unites 129 national federations on five continents.
Uzbek leader also instructed to approve a program of comprehensive measures to develop and popularize kurash. It is expected that Kurash Centers will be established in Nukus and regional centers of Uzbekistan.
