Uzbekistan to export 560,000 tonnes of fruits, vegetables to Kazakhstan in 2017

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan plans to export 560,000 tonnes of fruits and vegetables for US$410 million to Kazakhstan in 2017, Uzbekoziqovqatholding said in a statement.

According to the company, Uzbekistan delivered 482,600 tonnes of fruits and vegetables worth US$307 million to Kazakhstan in 2016.

In January-February 2017, the volume of shipped fresh and processed fruits and vegetables to Kazakhstan reached 22,070 tonnes for US$15.97 million. Uzbekistan also supplied juices, jams, drinks and tinned products for US$3.35 million.

Uzbekoziqovqatholding said that specialized foreign trade company Uzagroexport opened three trade houses in Kazakhstan. They signed 10 contracts for delivery of fruits and vegetables for US$40 million.
