Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Telecom Network Management Center and Azerbaijan’s Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA) discussed prospects for cooperation in digital technologies, the center said.
The meeting was held on 9 September 2026 on the sidelines of GITEX AI 2026.
The sides discussed cooperation in the digital transformation of the telecommunications sector, the use of artificial intelligence and data analytics, the development of digital platforms, and the training and professional development of specialists.
Particular attention was given to using artificial intelligence-based solutions and Data Analytics to monitor telecommunications networks, detect anomalies, analyze data and make forecasts. The participants also exchanged experience in developing digital government platforms and discussed opportunities to implement joint technology projects.
The meeting was attended by Javidan Feyziyev, director of IDDA’s Business Development and Commerce Department, and Taleh Karimly, director of the agency’s Innovation Ecosystem Department.
Following the talks, the sides confirmed their interest in further exchanging experience and developing cooperation in artificial intelligence, digital technologies and telecommunications infrastructure.
As part of GITEX AI 2026’s business programme, specialists from Uzbekistan’s Telecom Network Management Center also took part in the forum’s events. Aziz Kayumov, head of the Fraud Prevention Department at banks and payment organizations, delivered a presentation on practical approaches and technological solutions for fraud prevention.
