Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A delegation of Georgian companies visited IT Park Uzbekistan on 29 October 2026 to explore the country's technology ecosystem, business conditions in the IT sector and potential investment opportunities.
The visit formed part of a two-day business mission to Uzbekistan on 28–29 October, aimed at strengthening trade, economic and investment ties between Uzbekistan and Georgia.
On 28 October, the Uzbekistan–Georgia Business Forum brought together business representatives to discuss opportunities for cooperation across several sectors, including construction, industry, agriculture, transport, logistics and information technology.
The forum programme also included bilateral negotiations in business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) formats, providing opportunities for direct engagement between companies and relevant institutions.
On the following day, representatives of Georgian businesses visited IT Park Uzbekistan as part of a broader programme introducing the delegation to the country's investment environment.
During the visit, IT Park representatives presented the organisation's infrastructure and outlined opportunities available to foreign companies seeking to enter the Uzbek market.
The Georgian delegation also received information about the requirements for obtaining IT Park Uzbekistan resident status and the incentives available to registered residents.
Particular attention was given to potential investments in Uzbekistan's information technology sector.
The discussions provided Georgian business representatives with an overview of the conditions for establishing IT operations in Uzbekistan and the support mechanisms available through IT Park.
The visit was part of broader efforts to strengthen business relations between Uzbekistan and Georgia, covering both traditional economic sectors and the growing information technology industry.
The programme reflected the two countries' interest in expanding commercial contacts and exploring new opportunities for bilateral investment and technological cooperation.
