Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) —IT Park Uzbekistan presented the export potential of the country's information technology industry at the Uzbekistan–Austria Business Forum, highlighting opportunities to attract foreign technology companies, expand digital services exports and strengthen cooperation with European partners.

The forum brought together representatives of government institutions, investment organisations and international businesses to explore opportunities for expanding economic and technological cooperation between Uzbekistan and Austria.

One of the event's main priorities was strengthening bilateral partnerships in the technology sector, including attracting foreign IT companies, increasing exports of digital services and establishing new business contacts.

Participants included representatives of Uzbekistan's Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency and the international organisation Global Neighbours.

Companies represented at the forum included BrainsToVentures, ecotel communication, Tele Columbus and GOODRAM / Wilk Elektronik.

The programme featured industry presentations and bilateral negotiations in business-to-business (B2B) and government-to-business (G2B) formats.

During the event, Jahongir Kagirov, Director of IT Export Development at IT Park Uzbekistan, presented the country's export-oriented IT development model.

His presentation outlined opportunities for Uzbekistan to become more closely integrated into international markets for technology and business services.

Kagirov also highlighted Uzbekistan's workforce and infrastructure capabilities, alongside existing mechanisms designed to support export-oriented projects and foreign companies.

Forum participants received information about the requirements for obtaining IT Park Uzbekistan resident status, tax incentives available to residents and opportunities to establish IT operations in the country.

Particular attention was given to expanding bilateral cooperation by attracting Austrian companies to projects in Uzbekistan and strengthening connections between Uzbek digital service providers and European customers.

The discussions also explored opportunities to establish new commercial relationships and expand cooperation involving technology services and international contracts.

IT Park Uzbekistan's participation in the forum was aimed at promoting the country's IT industry in the European market, diversifying export destinations and attracting foreign technology partners.

The initiative also seeks to strengthen international contractual cooperation and create additional opportunities for Uzbek IT companies to work with overseas clients.
