Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan is preparing to launch a data centre under construction at IT Park Uzbekistan. The project’s progress and commissioning timeline were discussed by Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov and DataVolt Chief Executive Officer Rajit Nanda.

At the meeting, the sides reviewed the final stage of construction, organisational matters and preparations for the opening ceremony. Particular attention was given to coordinating further actions to ensure the data centre launches on time.

The facility is expected to meet domestic demand for computing capacity and expand exports of digital services and computing resources to international markets.

Participants also discussed opportunities for cooperation between the data centre and international technology companies, as well as the introduction of advanced cloud services and high-performance computing infrastructure.

Both sides stressed the importance of resolving emerging issues promptly and coordinating the next stages of the project. The announcement did not specify an exact opening date.
