Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Teachers in Uzbekistan who meet the eligibility requirements can apply online for a government subsidy to purchase housing through the Unified Portal of Interactive Public Services, my.gov.uz, or the MyGov mobile application.

To submit an application, applicants must log in to the portal or app, select the service titled “Housing Purchase Subsidy for Teachers”, fill in the required information and submit the application.

Applications can also be submitted through public service centres. The service is free of charge.

Under Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 69 dated 19 February 2026, the government will cover 25% of the down payment on a refinanced mortgage loan using budget funds.

Teachers aged under 60 with at least 15 years of work experience and the highest qualification category corresponding to the position of senior teacher are eligible to apply.

The programme covers employees of educational institutions at all levels, from schools and academic lyceums to technical schools, colleges and higher education institutions.

The subsidy is available for the purchase of apartments on the primary housing market. Applicants can purchase property in their place of permanent residence. An exception applies to Tashkent residents, who may also receive the subsidy for purchasing housing in Tashkent Region.

Applications are assessed based on the teacher’s work experience and current place of employment, highest qualification category, credit history, and information about residential property owned by the applicant and their spouse.

In particular, neither spouse must have two or more residential properties registered in their name. In addition, neither spouse must have previously received a housing subsidy.

The government plans to allocate up to 200 billion soums annually from the state budget to implement the programme.
