Uzbekistan supports a resolution calling for a ceasefire in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone.
Uzbekistan came out in support of this resolution, joining other countries such as Russia, China, Brazil and the UAE.
The resolution was initiated by Egypt and Mauritania.
The new resolution was supported by 153 states.
The United States and Israel, as well as 8 other countries, voted against the resolution. 23 states abstained.
