Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A bilateral meeting was held in Tashkent between Sanjar Zuparov, First Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan, and a delegation from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety of the Republic of Korea. The talks took place on 23 June 2026 at the central headquarters of the Uzbek ministry.

The main topic of discussion was the expansion of cooperation in ensuring safety during natural disasters using artificial intelligence technologies. The sides analyzed the current state of bilateral cooperation in detail and outlined plans for the long term.

During the visit, the foreign delegates visited the National Center for Disaster Management of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan, where they familiarized themselves with its operational activities, technical equipment, and rescue service coordination methods. This visit allowed the South Korean specialists to visually assess the country's existing emergency management infrastructure.

Following the meetings, the parties confirmed their intention to strengthen the mutually beneficial partnership and agreed on the large-scale implementation of digital technologies and artificial intelligence systems in the field of prevention and elimination of emergency situations.

The meeting participants also reached an agreement on the regular exchange of practical experience and maintaining consistent working contacts to implement joint technological safety projects.
