Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — State bodies and organizations in Uzbekistan are required to publish 43 types of public-interest information on the Open Data Portal and their official websites.

The list of information subject to mandatory disclosure is established by legislation and covers a range of areas related to government spending, public procurement, employment and the use of state property.

The information includes expenses for officials’ business trips and receptions for foreign guests, the use of official vehicles and accommodation, and other real estate held by government agencies.

State bodies must also disclose the composition of procurement commissions and information on public procurement. They are required to publish details of vacancies, employment conditions, candidate requirements and the documents needed to apply for jobs.

Other mandatory disclosures include regional waiting lists for performing the Hajj pilgrimage, revenues and expenditures of state higher education institutions, the use of local budget funds, and the order of applications for enrolling children in state preschool education organizations.

Public relations departments and units responsible for handling citizens’ appeals are tasked with ensuring that the information is published on time and to the required standard.

Uzbekistan’s Anti-Corruption Agency said it coordinates efforts to ensure transparency in the activities of government bodies and continuously monitors compliance with the established requirements.

Citizens can report suspected corruption by calling 1253.
