Uzbekistan produces industrial goods for 15.441 trln. soums in 1H

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Total volume of industrial output in Uzbekistan made up 15.441 trillion soums in January-June 2010 or grew by 8% year-on-year, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.

Consumer goods production made up 4.828 trillion soums in the first half of 2010, which is up 11.8% more compared to the same period of 2009, of which food products were for 2.058 trillion soums (+9%) and non-food products – 2.769 trillion soums (13.9%).

Largest share in industrial production fell to fuel industry (20.1% of industrial output), machinery and metal processing (15.7%), light industry (14%) and food industry (12.3%).
