Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — WB Taxi has commented on a review being conducted by Uzbekistan’s Competition Committee following consumer complaints. The company said passenger comfort and safety are priorities and emphasized that the service monitors compliance with legal requirements, WB Taxi said.

According to the company, it also requires taxi fleet partners connected to the platform to comply with the law.

WB Taxi maintains regular communication with Uzbekistan’s government authorities. When it receives information about violations by partners, the company promptly takes measures to address and resolve the issues.

Each incoming request is processed within the timeframe established by law.

The company explained that every report of poor service quality, whether submitted by users or regulatory authorities, is reviewed individually.

If a violation is suspected, the driver’s account is blocked while the case is being reviewed. If the information is confirmed, the driver receives a permanent ban.

Even when a violation is not confirmed, the company works with the driver to prevent similar situations in the future. Information about the incident is also passed on to the taxi fleet with which the driver cooperates.

WB Taxi noted that the service remains one of the few aggregators that does not allow drivers without valid license cards to work on its platform. The company ensures that the permits required by law for passenger transportation are available and verified.

According to WB Taxi, this enables the company to monitor and continuously improve its service quality. From January through September 2026, the share of users dissatisfied with service quality did not exceed thousandths of a percent.

Earlier, it was reported that the Competition Committee was reviewing WB Taxi. During the first eight months of the year, the agency recorded around 20 complaints and social media posts related to the aggregator’s operations.

The complainants said WB Taxi vehicles did not always arrive at the specified address and that the service lacked a feedback function for communicating with drivers. The committee also identified insufficient compliance with the laws “On Consumer Protection” and “On E-Commerce” and sent a corresponding request to WB Taxi.
