Uzbekistan moves 8 places up in new FIFA ranking

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) announced its new ranking of national teams.

According to new ranking of FIFA, Uzbekistan moved eight places up and now holds 57th place in the world in new ranking.

Uzbekistan is on the fourth place in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the fourth in the CIS region.

Uzbekistan is behind Iran (38th place), Japan (50), and Australia (53) in Asia and Ukraine (18), Russia (22) and Armenia (30) in the CIS.

Spain, Germany and Argentina are top three nations in the FIFA ranking.
