Uzbekistan Interior Ministry Discusses Security Cooperation with Australia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan with a delegation led by Australian Ambassador to Uzbekistan John Giring.

During the talks, the sides discussed prospects for strengthening cooperation between law enforcement agencies of the two countries and exchanging experience in the field of public security.

The Australian ambassador expressed gratitude for the warm reception and noted that relations between Uzbekistan and Australia have been actively developing in recent years. He emphasized that expanding cooperation in the law enforcement sphere, particularly in policing, meets modern requirements.

Special attention was given to joint efforts in combating terrorism, extremism, human trafficking, cybercrime, and illegal migration.

Following the meeting, both sides confirmed their interest in further developing cooperation and exchanging best practices between the law enforcement agencies of Uzbekistan and Australia.
