Uzbekistan imports gas from Turkmenistan for more than US$1 billion.

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- In January-November 2022, Uzbekistan imported natural gas from Turkmenistan in the amount of US$1.03 billion, according to a report by Turkmengas.

Uzbekistan ranks fourth in terms of imports of Turkmen gas after China (US$9.28 billion), Russia (US$3.5 billion) and Myanmar (US$1.29 billion).

In early December, Uzbekistan agreed on additional gas supplies from Turkmenistan.

Within three months, Uzbekistan will receive an additional 1.5 billion cubic meters of gas from Turkmenistan.
