Uzbekistan and Argentina to Expand Trade Ties
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Adviser to the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Alisher Shaykhov met with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Argentina to Uzbekistan Enrique Ignacio Ferrer Vieyra.
The parties discussed the development of trade and economic ties, investment cooperation, and the expansion of contacts between the business communities of the two countries.
At the beginning of the meeting, Shaykhov congratulated the diplomat on his appointment and wished him success in his work to strengthen relations between Uzbekistan and Argentina.
Meeting participants identified promising areas for collaboration in agriculture, the food and textile industries, footwear manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and the electrical engineering and chemical industries. Potential spheres of cooperation also included the jewelry industry, tourism, medicine, and education.
The sides expressed readiness to continue practical interaction in the designated areas, step up business contacts, and facilitate the implementation of joint projects.
