Uzbekistan imports 219,000 tons of coal from Kyrgyzstan in January-February

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan became the main importer of Kyrgyz coal in January-February 2023.

According to Tazabek, during this period Uzbekistan purchased 218,700 tons of coal from Kyrgyzstan, which is 79% of the country's total export of this fuel.

In January-February 2023, Kyrgyzstan exported 275,900 tons of coal, which is 85% more than at the beginning of 2022.

In addition to Uzbekistan, the Netherlands and Slovakia became other major importers of Kyrgyz coal, having purchased 19,700 and 10,500 tons of coal in January-February 2023, respectively.
