Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Transport Minister Ilhom Makhkamov met with Nicolas Rallo, Regional Director of the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) European and North Atlantic Office (EUR/NAT), in Tashkent on 9 September.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the CANSO Eurasia ANSP’s Summit, Uzbekistan’s Transport Ministry said.

The sides discussed the current state of cooperation between Uzbekistan and ICAO in civil aviation development, the results of ongoing projects and prospects for new joint initiatives.

Particular attention was paid to supporting initiatives aimed at developing and improving the global aviation system.

The discussions focused, in particular, on developing aviation infrastructure, improving flight safety and further advancing the sector in line with international standards.

Following the meeting, the sides confirmed their mutual interest in expanding cooperation in aviation and consistently implementing practical projects.
