Uzbekistan holds 55th place in FIFA ranking

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) announced its new ranking of national teams.

According to new ranking of FIFA, Uzbekistan moved two places up and now holds the 55th place in the world.

Uzbekistan is on the third place in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the fourth in the CIS region.

Uzbekistan is behind Japan (44th place) and Iran (49) in Asia and Russia (19), Ukraine (20) and Armenia (38) in the CIS.

Spain, Germany and Argentina are top three nations in the FIFA ranking.
