Uzbekistan, France discuss cooperation in railway sector

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Uzbekistan Jacques-Henry Heuls held a meeting with the chairperson of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari state joint stock company Alchilbay Ramatov on 5 November 2013, the press service of the Embassy of France said.

The sides considered bilateral cooperation in railway sector, including a seminar on proposals of the French companies in this area.

Eight French companies - Alstom, Geismar, Schneider Electric, Systra, Freyssinet, Egis, Fives - Forest Line and Thales – will participate in the seminar on 14-15 November 2013.

At the meeting, the sides affirmed necessity to expand cooperation between France and Uzbekistan in railway sector, which plays key role in the Central Asian nation.
