Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov received copies of the credentials of Turki Khalid Hamad Al-Mikrad, the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to Uzbekistan, he said following the meeting.

During the talks, the two sides discussed prospects for further expanding Uzbekistan-Kuwait cooperation across a wide range of areas, with particular attention to the development of bilateral relations and strengthening cooperation in political, economic, and international spheres.

Saidov noted that the state visit of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kuwait in February 2025 marked an important milestone in the development of relations between the two countries and elevated cooperation to a qualitatively new level.

The discussions also covered prospects for coordination within the framework of the Gulf Cooperation Council and other international and regional organizations.

At the end of the meeting, the Uzbek side wished the new Kuwaiti ambassador success in his work and productive diplomatic activity in Uzbekistan.
