Uzbekistan Exports No Gold in May 2026
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan did not export any gold in May 2026, according to data from the National Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Statistics.
Agency data shows that the total volume of gold exports for January-May 2026 stood at US$1.503 billion. The exact same figure was recorded at the end of January-April, indicating an absence of deliveries specifically during the month of May.
For comparison, Uzbekistan exported gold worth US$6.492 billion in January-May 2025. Consequently, gold exports in the current year decreased by 76.84% compared to the same period last year. The share of gold in the country's total exports subsequently decreased from 43.4% in January-May 2025 to 11.9% in January-May 2026.
Against this background, the total foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan for January-May 2026 amounted to US$32.8 billion, representing an increase of US$1.2 billion, or 3.7%, compared to the same period last year.
