Uzbekistan drops six places in FIFA ranking

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan national football team dropped six positions in new FIFA ranking and now holds 59th place.

Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) announced its new ranking of national teams on 5 June 2014.

Uzbekistan is the fourth team in the Asia after Iran (43rd place), Japan (46) and South Korea (57).

Among the CIS states, Uzbekistan is also on the fourth place after Ukraine (16), Russia (19) and Armenia (38).

Uzbekistan played two friendly matches against Oman in May 2014. Oman won both matches with the score 1-0.

Spain, Germany and Brazil are top three nations in the FIFA ranking.
