Uzbekistan Discusses Investment with Adani, AD Ports

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A series of bilateral meetings focused on economic cooperation, investment, and industrial development was held at the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, according to Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev.

He said such negotiations are part of consistent efforts to attract long-term partners, improve the investment climate, develop infrastructure, and expand industrial cooperation.

During one of the meetings, discussions were held with the CEO of Adani International Energy Amit Singh on prospects for cooperation in the energy sector. The parties reviewed the development of a more diversified and investment-oriented energy system in Uzbekistan, as well as projects in the chemical industry, mining sector, and critical minerals.

It was emphasized that the focus is not only on attracting capital, but also on technology transfer, operational expertise, and long-term project discipline.

Another meeting was held with the Chairman of AD Ports Group Farooq Al Zeer. The parties discussed the development of logistics and port infrastructure, as well as digital solutions in trade. The importance of such projects for strengthening Uzbekistan’s role as a regional trade and logistics hub was highlighted.

The discussions also covered opportunities to reduce transport costs, simplify trade procedures, improve customs administration efficiency, and develop regional transport corridors.

In addition, a meeting was held with Falk Porsche, CEO of Falk-Porsche Technik GmbH and shareholder of Deutsche Kabel AG Tashkent. The company’s operations in Uzbekistan were discussed, including the production of electrical components and cable products.

It was noted that the enterprise already operates production facilities in the country and employs more than 650 people. Further industrial development and foreign economic activities were also reviewed.

Special attention was given to practical implementation aspects of projects, including construction permits, connection to engineering and utility networks, and organization of production processes in accordance with established procedures.
