Uzbekistan completes construction of railway bridge bypassing Turkmenistan

In Uzbekistan, the construction of a metal railway bridge, which is 30 metres high and 250 metres long, has been completed between the Oqrabot and Darband railway stations on the 113th km of the Toshguzar-Boysun-Qumqorgon railways.
The bridge is 1,412 metres above sea level.
The new 223-km-long Toshguzar-Boysun-Qumqorgon railway line links the Qashqadaryo and Surkhondaryo regions with central Tashkent and other regions bypassing Turkmenistan.
The project cost of the new railway line is US$447 million, including US$151.47 million soft loans from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation.
