Uzbekistan, China discuss regional security cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan and China discussed regional security issues during a meeting held in Tashkent on 20 April 2026.

The session of the Subcommittee on Security Cooperation of the Uzbekistan–China Intergovernmental Committee on Cooperation was attended by Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov and Deputy Foreign Minister of China Liu Bin, who served as co-chairs of the meeting.

During the talks, representatives of relevant agencies from both countries exchanged views on key areas of bilateral cooperation in the field of security and discussed plans for future engagement.

Following the meeting, the two sides agreed to continue cooperation on all issues included in the agenda, reaffirming their commitment to maintaining a stable dialogue and coordinating efforts across relevant areas.
