Uzbekistan, CFES Discuss Local Production of Banking Equipment

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan's Agency for Industrial Cooperation and Public Procurement held talks with a delegation from China's China Electronic Financial Equipment Systems (CFES) to discuss localising the production of banking equipment and developing joint investment projects.

The discussions focused on the potential for manufacturing ATMs, self-service terminals, POS terminals and intelligent cash handling systems in Uzbekistan. The two sides also considered technology transfer and the introduction of modern financial solutions.

Representatives of CFES presented the company's manufacturing capabilities, international experience and financial technology projects, including artificial intelligence-based solutions, smart bank branches and digital financial services. According to the company, its products are used in more than 100 countries and territories.

The parties also reviewed prospects for localising the production of modern banking equipment in Uzbekistan, establishing joint manufacturing projects and expanding technological cooperation.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to continue bilateral dialogue, jointly develop prospective investment and industrial cooperation projects, and identify specific areas for future collaboration.
