Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 18 April, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Khalilur Rahman. The talks were described as productive and took place in a constructive atmosphere.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Uzbek side congratulated Khalilur Rahman on his appointment to a senior government position and wished him success in his diplomatic activities.

The sides focused on issues related to expanding trade and economic cooperation, as well as opportunities to increase mutual trade turnover. It was noted that the current level of cooperation could be significantly strengthened through more effective use of existing economic potential across various sectors.

Special emphasis was placed on the fact that prospects for cooperation with Bangladesh remain substantial not only in a bilateral format but also within regional and multilateral platforms.

At the conclusion of the talks, both sides expressed readiness to continue dialogue aimed at strengthening practical cooperation and developing mutually beneficial initiatives.
