Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan increased 26-fold over the past decade, reaching US$795 million in 2025, Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade said.

The figures were announced at the fourth Forum of Regions of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan in Tashkent, which brought together about 420 companies, regional leaders and representatives of the two countries’ business communities.

The forum was attended by Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov and Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov. The total portfolio of investment and trade projects between the two countries has exceeded US$10 billion, according to the ministry.

Participants focused on expanding interregional and business cooperation. Priority areas included industry and deep processing of raw materials, the agro-industrial sector, textiles, tourism, territorial development, trade and logistics.

The sides also discussed creating full value chains and localizing new production facilities. They considered opportunities to use the potential of the Middle Corridor to access European markets.

The practical part of the forum continued with bilateral B2B and G2B meetings. Representatives of regions, government agencies and businesses discussed specific projects and further steps to develop cooperation.

Following the forum, the participants proposed developing joint action plans for 2026–2027. The agreements reached were formalized through an exchange of bilateral documents.
