Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Uzbek government has approved a regulation detailing the procedure for providing subsidies to cover part of the expenses involved in developing and implementing new types of tourism services. The administrative framework was established by Cabinet of Ministers Decree No. 443 on 18 August 2026.

Under the document, the top 10 projects selected each year will be eligible for a subsidy covering 50% of the expenses related to developing and launching tourism startups. The maximum payout per individual project is capped at 1 billion soums.

Expense reimbursement will be managed by the Tourism Committee and processed through Public Services Centers or the Single Portal of Interactive Public Services.

Subsidies will be available to companies that do not have tax debts and are not currently undergoing bankruptcy or liquidation proceedings. A single project may receive the funding no more than once per calendar year.

To participate in the selection process, applicants must present a project business plan during an interview conducted either in person or via videoconference. The interview takes place within five business days of the invitation being issued.

Following the interview, a special commission reviews the feasibility of funding the startup within 10 business days. The key criteria for a favorable project evaluation include its novelty and relevance to tourists.

The subsidy mechanism was established in execution of Presidential Decree No. PP-348, issued on 19 November 2025, which provided for state support for projects aimed at creating new tourism services.
