Uzbekistan Appoints New Deputy Health Ministers
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A presidential decree has approved a new leadership structure at the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.
Otabek Imamov has been appointed First Deputy Minister of Health. Adkham Khudaykulov and Sherzod Mukhamedov have also been named deputy ministers.
A separate portfolio covering compliance and internal anti-corruption control has been assigned to Jaloliddin Asamutdinov, who has been appointed deputy minister in charge of this area.
Ilkhomjon Umurzakov has been appointed Deputy Minister of Health. In connection with his new role, he has been relieved of his previous position as Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance and Director of the Public-Private Partnership Development Department.
At the same time, Alisher Boboev has been dismissed from his post as First Deputy Minister of Health due to a transition to another job. For the same reason, Deputy Ministers Elmira Basitkhanova and Farrukhjon Tashpulatov have also left their positions.
