Uzbekistan Announces Start Dates for 2026/2027 Academic Year

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan has set the start dates for the 2026/2027 academic year across higher education institutions, academic lyceums, and technical colleges, according to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation.

Classes will begin on 2 September 2026 at academic lyceums and technical colleges, while higher education institutions will adopt a phased schedule.

For first-year university students, the academic process will start on 7 September 2026.

Second-year students and upperclassmen will resume their studies on 14 September 2026.

Consequently, academic lyceums and technical colleges will start the school year earlier than higher education institutions, which have introduced staggered start dates for incoming and continuing students.
