Uzbekistan and Türkiye Discuss Cooperation in Nuclear Medicine

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Abdulla Azizov, Director of Uzbekistan's Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry, held a meeting with Ismail Dernek, General Director of the Turkish company MNT Sağlık Hizmetleri ve Ticaret A.Ş., to discuss bilateral cooperation, according to the agency's press service.

The parties discussed expanding cooperation in oncology, nuclear medicine, and radio-pharmaceuticals, as well as executing potential joint projects in Uzbekistan.

Special attention was directed toward establishing local production of radio-pharmaceutical drugs in Uzbekistan and constructing the necessary manufacturing infrastructure.

Participants also reviewed the current progress of a public-private partnership project focused on creating outpatient radiation therapy centers.

Following the discussions, the sides agreed to maintain a practical dialogue and continue working jointly on prospective projects in Uzbekistan.
