Uzbekistan and Oman Discuss Expanding Economic Ties

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bahromjon Aloev, held a meeting in Muscat on 1 July 2026 with the Secretary General of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Sultanate of Oman for Economic Affairs, Yarub bin Abdullah al-Yarubi.

The parties discussed prospects for the further expansion of bilateral cooperation in the trade, economic, investment, and industrial spheres.

During the talks, special attention was paid to the issues of more effectively utilizing the economic potential of Uzbekistan and Oman, as well as finding new opportunities for developing a mutually beneficial partnership.

The participants of the meeting also reviewed measures to intensify contacts between the business circles of the two countries and to continue close interaction for the practical implementation of previously reached agreements and coordinated joint initiatives.
