Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Jamshid Kuchkarov, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan, has held a meeting with Ruslan Suinaliev, the Minister of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic. The parties discussed the further development of cooperation in the financial sphere and the expansion of practical interaction between the two countries.

The negotiations took place on 30 June 2026. The meeting participants noted that thanks to the political will of the leaders of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, which is based on the principles of friendship, good-neighborliness, and mutual trust, socio-economic cooperation between the two states is consistently developing, creating new opportunities for interaction in the financial sector.

The sides paid special attention to issues of strengthening bilateral relations, further developing socio-economic cooperation, and expanding areas of practical partnership. The importance of maintaining a regular dialogue between the respective ministries, exchanging experience, and promoting joint initiatives was also emphasized.

During the meeting, the participants discussed issues regarding the improvement of the public finance management system, the development of the social insurance system, ensuring its financial sustainability, strengthening social protection for the population, and exchanging institutional experience in these fields.

Additionally, the parties reviewed prospects for cooperation in the field of knowledge and professional experience exchange, including holding consultations between specialists, organizing joint seminars, and implementing educational programs.

Following the negotiations, the participants reaffirmed their readiness to further expand socio-economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, continue regular consultations, and develop practical interaction in areas of mutual interest.
