Uzbekistan and Japan Explore New Investment Projects

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held in Tashkent between Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov, advisor to the Japan Youth Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCI) in Iizuka, and President of Aso Shoji Masahiro Aso.

During the talks, both sides noted the steady development of trade, economic, and investment relations between Uzbekistan and Japan. The Japanese direction was highlighted as one of Uzbekistan’s key and reliable international partners.

Special attention was given to strengthening direct engagement with Japanese business communities and regional organizations. Participants noted that this creates additional opportunities for joint initiatives, including the development of youth entrepreneurship and the expansion of business cooperation.

The parties also reviewed prospects for new investment projects involving Aso Shoji.

Discussions included establishing direct contacts with Uzbek enterprises, exploring localization opportunities within Uzbekistan, introducing advanced technologies, and implementing high value-added projects.
