Uzbekistan Discusses New Projects with Cadila Pharmaceuticals
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Abdulla Azizov, Director of the Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry of Uzbekistan, met with the management of Cadila Pharmaceuticals, one of India's leading pharmaceutical companies, during a working visit to India.
The parties discussed prospects for implementing joint projects in the pharmaceutical industry, according to the Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry.
During the negotiations, participants reviewed possibilities for creating modern pharmaceutical production facilities in Uzbekistan, localizing medicine production, introducing advanced technologies, and implementing investment projects.
Representatives of Cadila Pharmaceuticals were also briefed on the opportunities available at the BioPharma City pharmaceutical cluster, the conditions created for foreign investors, and prospects for organizing joint production and high-tech projects.
In addition, the parties exchanged views on implementing joint initiatives based at BioPharma City, developing production infrastructure, introducing international quality standards, and expanding cooperation in technology transfer.
