Uzbekistan and India Discuss Expanding Bilateral Ties

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Aloev met with Ambassador of India to Uzbekistan Smita Pant on 25 August 2026 to discuss the status and future prospects of bilateral relations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

During the talks, the two sides exchanged views on enhancing political dialogue between the two nations.

Special attention was given to expanding cooperation across trade, economic, and investment sectors, alongside cultural and humanitarian exchanges and other priority areas.

Representatives from Uzbekistan and India also addressed key issues on the international agenda.
