Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan and Georgian company Blanco have agreed to develop cooperation in the production of paper-based hygiene products.

The agreement was signed following a meeting on 30 October between Uzbekistan’s Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Khurram Teshabayev and Blanco General Director Teimuraz Dalakishvili.

One of the key topics discussed was the establishment of a manufacturing facility in Uzbekistan to produce cellulose-based paper hygiene products.

Blanco has operated in the Georgian market since 2007 and specialises in the production of paper hygiene products.

The company’s product range includes more than 100 items, including toilet paper, paper towels and tissues.

The agreement between Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade and Blanco provides for the development of a long-term partnership, the implementation of joint investment projects and the expansion of industrial cooperation.

The parties also agreed on further steps to implement the arrangements reached.
