Uzbekistan and Chong Kun Dang Discuss Pharma Ties
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — An Uzbek delegation, comprising representatives from the Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry and the National Scientific Research Institute of Biopharmaceuticals, met with representatives of Chong Kun Dang Pharmaceutical Corp. during a official visit to South Korea, according to the pharmaceutical development agency.
The sides discussed the application of South Korean expertise to Uzbekistan's pharmaceutical industry and explored potential joint initiatives.
During the meeting, representatives from Chong Kun Dang presented the company's experience in medicine production and drug development, with a specific focus on biological products and biosimilars.
The Uzbek delegation inspected the company's approach to organizing modern manufacturing infrastructure in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, as well as its quality control framework and research and development activities.
Discussions covered the potential implementation of advanced South Korean practices within Uzbekistan's pharmaceutical sector. The parties also addressed the training of highly qualified specialists for the biopharmaceutical industry, along with promoting knowledge and expertise exchanges between specialists from both countries.
Additionally, participants reviewed prospects for joint research, development, and manufacturing projects in biopharmaceuticals. The topics evaluated included technology transfer and the identification of future areas for bilateral cooperation.
