Uzbekistan and Afghanistan plans to open regular air communication

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan and Afghanistan are planning to open regular air communication between Tashkent and Kabul, RIA Novosti reported quoting source at the Embassy of Afghanistan in Uzbekistan.

According to the source, the Government of Uzbekistan and Afghanistan signed a protocol on strengthening of cooperation on transport and transit.

The document envisages preparation of intergovernmental message on opening flights of airlines of two states between Kabul and Tashkent. At the same time, the source did not disclose dates, when the sides are expecting to sign the document.

The document also envisages that the Uzbek side will consider participation of construction of railway “Mazar-e-Sharif – Heart” in southern-western Afghanistan.
