Uzbekistan advances to AFC U-19 Championship quarterfinals

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan played a 1-1 draw with Australia to advance to quarterfinals of the AFC U-19 Championship on Tuesday.

Stefan Ingo Mauk opened the score on 66 minutes, while Zabihullo Urinboev equalized the score. The sides were not able to score any goals toll the end of the match.

Uzbekistan, UAE and Australia collected five points each, but Australia left the tournament due to goal difference. UAE topped the Group B, while Uzbekistan was runner-ups.

In quarterfinals of the AFC U-19 Championship, Uzbekistan will face Thailand, which topped the Group A. The match will be held on 17 October.
