Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held an official telephone conversation with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Senator of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, on 20 June 2026.

The heads of the foreign ministries discussed key aspects of the bilateral agenda and current issues in international politics.

During the conversation, the Pakistani diplomat expressed sincere appreciation for a message sent by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif.

In the letter, the head of state highly praised the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran. The message also recognized the active and effective mediation efforts of official Islamabad in organizing the negotiation process.

The foreign ministers expressed firm confidence that the subsequent stages of the diplomatic settlement will proceed in a constructive manner, and that the practical implementation of the reached agreements will become an important factor in strengthening stability and security throughout the region.

Following the talks, the parties reaffirmed their intention to maintain a regular, trust-based dialogue between their ministries to further deepen the strategic partnership.
