Uzbek fencers claim second place in Asian Championship among cadets

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- A team of fencers from Uzbekistan won silver medals at the Asian Championship among cadets, which was held in Jordan.

Uzbekistan team led by Aleksander Ravnyagin defeated Japan with the score 45-43 and lost to China, which currently top team in Asia. For the first time, Uzbekistan won silver medals of the continental tournament.

Uzbekistan team included Javohirbek Nurmatov, Abdulvosit Nasirdinov, Jurabek Jalilov and Fayzulla Alimov.

The Asian Championship is continues and Uzbekistan coaches hope that fencers with foils will achieve goods results as well.
